Our Story: A Legacy of the Yavapai-Apache Nation

Cliff Castle Casino Hotel is proudly owned and operated by the Yavapai-Apache Nation. The Nation is comprised of two distinct peoples: the Yavapai, who call themselves Wipuhk’a’bah, and the Apache, who call themselves Dil’zhe’e.

In 1995, the Yavapai-Apache people opened our gaming facility to provide much-needed revenue and secure a financial future for the Nation. The success of Cliff Castle Casino allows the tribal government to provide essential services for its members, including healthcare, social services, and education programs. Our history is rooted in the expert basketry of the Yavapai, a proud heritage we recognize in our tribal patterns and designs.
